Short C.V Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ammar Magdubi, Male, has B.Sc. in Urban Planning, University of Gar-Younis, Benghazi Libya 1988, PGD in Urban Design 1992, Heriot-Watt University UK, and Ph.D. degree in Architecture, from Heriot-Watt University 1998, UK. Topic of the thesis was about: "ENVIRONMENTAL KNOWLEDGE AND CITY PERCEPTION", With a focus on the energy link to environmental aesthetics. Member of the Syndicate of Engineering Professions - Al-Zawiya branch, member of the Libyan Association for Urban Planning. Worked as a team leader for ECOU company (Engineering Consulting Office for Utilities) since May 1988- October 2001 AD, Supervised and participated in planning the master plan of Sirt city, cities of Hun, Sukna and Zallah; also designing many buildings and private housing units. Nowadays works as a professor at the Libyan Academy for Postgraduate Studies, Tripoli; teaching several subjects and supervised number of M.Sc. thesis; part time teaching staff member for postgraduate students at Architectural Department, Misurata University. Participated in several scientific conferences, technical committees; and worked as an internal and external examiner. Working now on issuing two books on: (Introduction to the Philosophy of Aesthetics in Art and Architecture), (Rooting the Human Concepts and Values in The Local Architecture in Libya).
